Fine Art Portraits for Texas Aggie Cadets

Capturing the Spirit of the Corps in Each Fine Art Portrait

Our legacy portraits serve not only as a reminder of the cadet’s time in the corps–and at A&M–being the foundation of their life legacy. The portrait gives each cadet a long-lasting visual reminder of the character they want to live up to.

Strength and Unity Fused with Art as Timeless as the Corps

Hand-crafted

Each image created in our studio is photographed by Master Photographer  Paul Ernest. After the photographic session, Paul hand-crafts the images into an artistic painterly style.. Paul then makes a master print on canvas, overpainting the canvas giving it the life and texture of an oil painting. All canvases are hand-signed and given the seal of his studio.

"It is important that each and every one of these portraits is treated as the heirloom that they are... as if each of these canvases is that of his own children.”

timeless

One of Paul's loves is history and heritage. His childhood was spent with his grandparents who taught him much about their life and the times of their childhood. In the summer Paul would spend much of his time in the Hill Country with his Great-Grandparents who taught him about his 4th Great Grandfather, John Pettit Borden who was in the Texas Army, defeating the Mexican Army in San Jacinto and serving as the first Land Commissioner for the Republic of Texas. These are the things from Paul's past that bring passion to these pieces of art and the recognition of the next generation of leadership from our great state.

"These canvases will one day be the thing that generations to come will look back upon, admiring the portraits and what these future leaders will have done for the betterment of the great state of Texas and the United States." -Paul Ernest

We cannot rewind the time that has already spent, reversing the tolling of the bell. Paul has extensively studied art history and the history of photography. "Art is the visual recording of our people and our heritage. Without these cultural and visual landmarks, much of who we are would be lost.
